Friday 31 January 2020 – A hilarious rendition of ‘A Dug A Dug’ was one of the highlights of the Scottish themed P3/4 showcase today. Och they were aw wee stars so they wur! Our coffee morning afterwards raised £63.60.

Friday 17 January 2020 – We took a trip to the Great Barrier Reef for P4’s ‘Finding Nemo’ showcase. They told us about the threat of plastic pollution in our oceans. Well done to them and to everyone who supported our coffee morning, raising just shy of £70.

2019

Christmas Fundraising – December is our busiest month for fundraising and this year was no exception. Our grand total was £1750. This includes cashback from the Christmas cards the children designed, raffles at the two Christmas shows, the Paper Plate design competition and our fabulous Christmas Fayre. Fantastic!

Thursday 5 December 2019 – The children enjoyed a fabulous panto, funded by the Parent Council – oh yes they did! Jack and the Beanstalk had them in stitches. Happy children is what it’s all about.

Thursday 14 November  2019 – Parents’ Night is thirsty work so we laid on refreshments and held a raffle raising almost £160. We may make this a regular thing.

Friday 8 November 2019 – It was eyes down in the chapel hall for our first ever bingo night which raised £675. Thanks to Liz who guided us through, to everyone who donated prizes, helped in advance and on the night and to all the parents/carers who came along.

Fri 20 Sep – Fri 8 Nov 2019 – During this period we enjoyed showcases from P6/7, P6 and P5 where they brought their classroom topics to life on the stage through song, poetry and drama. It was our pleasure to serve refreshments afterwards to family and friends. Thanks to their generosity we raised almost £300 for the school.

Tuesday 25 June 2019 – At mass this morning, nine pupils were presented with the Miss Kennedy Cup. We were delighted to donate the trophies in Miss Kennedy’s memory. This afternoon we literally rolled out the red carpet for the P7 disco. Banging tunes, a chocolate fountain, pizza and a selfie station meant a day to remember for our leavers.

Friday 21 June 2019 – The highlight of the year: our totally free fun day for the whole school. Bouncy castles, a climbing wall, face painters, a magician, an owl show and so much more. It was a blast!

Wednesday 19 June 2019 – Today was the P7s final showcase and what an emotional afternoon it was. Well done to our leavers and to their families for holding it all together. We were delighted to present the pupils with their St John Ogilvie ties.

Tues 11 & Wed 12 June 2019 – Thanks to everyone who donated prizes for the raffles we ran before the school shows and to everyone who bought tickets to raise £309.

Friday 7 June 2019 – At the P3/4 showcase today they showed us a taster of all their class topics from Africa and David Livingstone to animating movies and the the water cycle. Lots of knowledge and lots of talent on show. Thanks to everyone who joined us for refreshments. We raised £98.20.

Tuesday 28 May 2019 – We gave the P7s their leaver hoodies today and the feedbank has been really positive. We’re so glad they liked them.

Friday 10 May 2019 – We took a trip to Fairyland with our fabulous P1s as they entertained us with their first ever showcase. Cuteness overload as they shared their classroom learning with their families. Refreshments and a raffle afterwards raised £94.60 for school funds.

Thursday 18 April 2019 – The centre piece of our Easter Coffee Morning once again was the children in their Easter Bonnets. They thrilled guests with their imaginative and colourful display. Families enjoyed refreshments and browsing the stalls including one by our entrepreneurial P7s. We raised £241 for school funds.

Friday 29 March 2019 – Today every family in the school received a commemorative tea towel to mark the school’s 10th birthday.  This gift from the parent council features every child’s self-portrait and we hope it will make a special keepsake.

Saturday 23 March 2019 – Our first ever adults-only fundraiser was a smash hit. The race night in the bowling club raised an amazing £748.61. Thanks to everyone who sponsored a race, bought a horse, attended on the night and donated prizes. We are thrilled!

Friday 22 March 2019 – The children from P4/5 took us on a walk back in time to the 80s with their back-combed, fluorescent showcase. They did a smashing job of celebrating the decade when fashion died but music triumphed. Refreshments and a raffle in the cafeteria afterwards raised £47.50.

Friday 22 February 2019 – Love was in the air today as the children of P1/2 treated family, friends and the rest of the school to a Valentines themed showcase.

And thanks to everyone who came through to the cafeteria afterwards for refreshments. We raised £68.70.

Tuesday 19 February 2109 – The children were given a parent council newsletter to bring home today.  We are planning our first adults-only fundraiser for next month: a race night which we hope you will support. The kids’ annual Easter bonnet parade will be held at our Easter coffee morning which will have an international feel this year. Find out more about this and other news here PC_Newletter Feb 2019

Monday 4 February 2019 – It was our AGM tonight. The minutes will appear in the ‘Meetings & Minutes’ section of this website once agreed at the March meeting but here is the Chairs’ Report which rounds up what’s been happening over the last year ChairReport2018

Friday 25 January 2019 – P5 had the task of getting the 2019 showcases off and running and they did it with some style. Their topic was ‘Scotland’ and they fair had their families’ toes tapping with their music and dance. Our Tartan Tea afterwards raised £74.

December 2018 – Always a busy fundraising month with a big push for the Christmas Fayre. Once again it was a huge success and the smiling faces of the children told us that they had great fun. Thanks as always for your support and generosity.  Christmas Fayre Thanks to Parents 2018

Friday 12 October 2018 – It was the turn of P3 to entertain family and friends at their showcase, ‘The Right To Education’. Some important messages delivered in a light-hearted way. Our refreshments and fun raffle raised £93.20. Thanks again for support.

Friday 14 September 2018 – The first showcase of the 2018/19 school year was by P6 and they set the bar very high with a great performance. We offered refreshments and a raffle in the cafeteria and thanks to the support of parents/carers we raised £91.

Tuesday 26 June 2018 – It was the P7 leavers’ party today on the theme of a red carpet rave. It was our pleasure to lay this on for them and with glow sticks a-plenty and music we’d never heard of, it went really well.

Friday 22 June 2018 – We had hankies at the ready for the P7 leavers’ showcase and assembly today. There wasn’t a dry in the house and we were delighted to present each pupils with a hoodie and high school tie. Our refreshment stall and raffle raised £55. This added to money raised at showcases in February (P5/6), April (P1/2) and May (P1) comes to just over £200. Huge thanks.

Friday 15 June 2018 – Once again we ran our free fun day in the school for all pupils. With bouncy castles, a magician, balloon modeller, selfie station, climbing wall, face painting, glitter tattoos and beat-the-goalie on offer it was a hit with all the children. Throw in some juice, crisps, sweets and ice-cream and you’ve got a decent non-uniform day at school.

Friday 23 March 2018 – Today the hottest ticket in town was to see the children of St.Ninian’s in the Easter Bonnet parade at our Easter Coffee Morning. Tombola, raffle, stalls and refreshments helped raise £315.80. Thanks to everyone who came along.

Monday 5 February 2018 – The parent council meeting (and AGM) was held in the school and office bearers were appointed.

Friday 26 January 2018 – The first showcase of 2018 on the theme of Robert Burns was delivered by P3/4 and did our National Bard proud. The cafeteria was buzzing afterwards with refreshments and a raffle which raised £71.50 for school funds.

Friday 15 September 2017 – Today was the P4/5 showcase, the first one of the new term and a smash hit! Thanks to everyone who joined us for refreshments in the cafeteria afterwards and supported our wee raffle. You raised £68.40 for school funds.

Thursday 26 October 2017 – The Halloween Disco was a success with the kids turning out in some fabulous costumes. We dooked for apples, fished for witch’s eyes in cold spaghetti, played ‘toilet roll skittles’ and ‘hook the witch’s hat’ and enjoyed a tuck shop. Thanks again for your support and to everyone who volunteered on the night. The total raised for school funds was £393.82

November 2017 – Once again this year the children had the chance in class to design their own Christmas card for you to buy. Thanks to everyone who bought cards, mugs etc. The school’s share of the sales was £287.47

Friday 24 November 2017 – Today was the P2 showcase, the last one of 2017. We’ve also had the P6/7 showcase (13/10) and the P2/3 showcase (3/11). We offered refreshments and a raffle in the cafeteria after all of these and your contributions came to £213.90

Thursday 7 December 2017 – All the fun of the Christmas Fayre came to the school today. Santa was the guest of honour, there were stalls galore from local companies and crafters, the tombolas were a sell-out, the glitter tattoos and face painting were big draws and we all over indulged on mince pies and cakes. Thanks to everyone from the parent council who made it all happen, to the school for their support and to everyone who donated and came along on the day. Together we raised a  fabulous £891.61

December 2017 – In addition to the money raised at the Christmas Fayre we raised £101 from the Paper Plate Project and £416 from the raffles we ran at The Nativity. Here’s our thanks to you: Christmas Fayre Thanks to Parents 2017
